Financial Information & Important Policies


Insurance 

All applicable deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance are due at the time of service.  Any remaining amounts will be invoiced monthly.  If you are having difficulty paying your bill, please let the billing staff know promptly to arrange for a payment plan in order to avoid finance charges or collections obligations.

Seahurst Chiropractic participates in many insurance programs and accepts workmen's compensation, auto accident, personal injury, Medicare, and most PPO plans. Most insurance policies cover chiropractic care and many of the services offered at our office. We would be happy to verify your insurance benefits and coverage from your insurance company and file your claims for you. We offer this service as a convenience to our patients for no charge.

If you have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage or no insurance at all, we will be happy to work with you and discuss payment arrangements. Please call 206-242-8211 for more information. Our intent is to make insurance billing as hassle-free as possible for you.

Car accident insurance:
If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident this type of insurance takes precedence over your personal health insurance. It doesn't matter if you, the driver or passenger, were at fault or not. Treatment of injuries related to automobile accidents are generally covered 100% by your auto insurance. You also have direct access to our clinic with no need for a medical referral. 

Work Injuries:
Workers Compensation Insurance covers most medical and chiropractic expenses for injuries suffered in an occupational setting. Most injured workers have the right to direct access to chiropractic care, with 100% coverage of chiropractic and massage therapy treatment costs. 

Appointment Policy

We are here to provide you with the very best care and attention. We attempt to be available during the times our patients most desire. At Burien Center for Health and Wellbeing, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s lives. However, out of respect for both our practitioners and the patients who are trying to rearrange their busy schedules, we ask that you do your very best to not cancel appointments last minute or not show up for your scheduled appointment. In our commitment to provide an outstanding experience to all of our patients and out of consideration for our practitioners’ time, we have adopted the following policies:

Arrival at the Office

Please arrive for your appointment (cold laser, massage, exercise therapy) 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time in order to ensure a complete session. This allows you the time to fill out any appropriate forms, change clothing if necessary, and prepare for your treatment.  It will also help you slow down and catch your breath from your busy day!

Tardy Policy

As you can imagine, late arrivals can set back our schedules significantly. As a courtesy to our patients, if you arrive late, your session will be shortened to the remainder of your original scheduled appointment.  If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will be asked to reschedule.  Practitioners may choose to accommodate for the change if they are able. The first offence will be forgiven, but any following will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price. If more than three visits are missed or tardy, advanced payment will be requested.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment without charge prior to 24 hours in advance or by the end of business hours (6:00pm) the day before your appointment. If you cancel or reschedule with less than the aforementioned notice or via voicemail after closing the business day preceding your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.

No Show Policy

Out of consideration and respect of our practitioners’ time, if a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment and does not provide any type of advanced notice, the patient will be charged the full price of the scheduled visit. We understand that sometimes life is a little out of your control and that unforeseen circumstances happen. In other words, if you are going into labor, you will not be charged a no show fee.
