Natalie Turney, LMP
Balancing mind, body, movement, and breath
Natalie masterfully draws from a variety of modalities to give each client what is needed to improve his/her current physical state. Natalie’s method for bodywork is treatment-oriented and includes (and is not limited to):
- Myofascial and Connective Tissue Release
- Muscle Energy Techniques
- Trigger Point Therapy
- Deep Tissue Techniques
- Lymphatic Drainage
- A variety of PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitative) Stretching
- Zero-Point Wanding
- Chakra Rebalancing
- Use of premium Essential Oils
These modalities give her Western-Allopathic therapeutic massages an Eastern-Holistic quality. In 1983, Natalie was introduced to therapeutic massage. While living in Arizona, she attended Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College. Sustaining a perfect academic score in their program, she was one of only a handful of students invited to work on cadavers at ASU in their medical school. It was a life-changing experience! She was sold out to helping people feel their utmost best while living in their bodies on this planet. While working in Arizona, she was nationally certified as a licensed massage therapist. She devoted her free time to participating in local health fairs and healthcare events; sharing the benefits of massage on healing/balancing the human body. Moving back to Seattle in 1996, she tested out of the highly reputable Brenneke School of Massage to attain her Washington state license as a licensed massage practitioner. Considered a medical massage therapist, she is highly effective at treating injuries to the head/neck, shoulders, and low back. Arm/ elbow and leg/knee muscle conditions are relieved with her massage treatments. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Sciatica, and TMJ dysfunction are some of the specialized areas she has been trained to treat.
Having given thousands of massages over the last three decades, Natalie values educating her clients on how each can support their unique rehabilitation. She offers breathing/stretching routines and other self-care actions. The use of ice/heat and Kinesiology Tape often foster shorter healing times. With compassion and deftness, she encourages her clients to be active participants in their healing journeys.
Whether it’s an acute injury or it’s a chronic problem, Natalie has great success in calming the body down and alleviating painful conditions. Her goal is to provide the best results possible in the time she is given and to promote long-term wellbeing.
